If you live in the United States, use social media, or walked through Target of late, you know February is Black History Month.
Celebrating the contributions Black people and people of African descent is all that it’s about.
Celebrating what inventions Black people have brought to the world.
Celebrating the struggles and suppressions Black people have grown stronger through.
Celebrating the Black businesses built to solves our problems and create legacies for their families.
As a Ghanaian American woman living in the United States, I’ve grown a deeper love and appreciation for Black History Month with every passing year. More so the last two years I have wanted to celebrate the month by really focusing in on Black businesses specifically sustainable ones. It’s just aligned so clearly to support ways Blacks build legacy through their businesses.
That inspired the creation of my business finder but also this blog post of 25 Black-owned sustainable businesses you can support to celebrate Black History Month.
